About
Computer Scientist graduated from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), with a Master's degree in Data Science from the same institution. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. while serving as an associate professor at UPC, actively contributing to the Database Technologies and Information Management (DTIM) research group. His teaching responsibilities span both undergraduate courses (Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science) and postgraduate programs (Master's in Data Science).
His research focuses on the fields of data management and data discovery, particularly within the context of Big Data. This work involves exploring innovative methodologies and technologies to efficiently organize, analyze, and extract insights from massive and complex datasets, addressing key challenges in scalability, performance, and usability. His efforts aim to advance the state-of-the-art in how organizations and systems handle the ever-growing demands of data-driven environments, specially with regards to obtaining relevant data to be utilized by downstream applications.
