Javier Flores PhD Defense

On June 16th, Javier Flores successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "A Framework to Operationalize and Automate the Data Integration Lifecycle," under the supervision of Professors Oscar Romero and Sergi Nadal. Centered around the core idea that data integration is not a one-time task but an ongoing journey—a loop, a lifecycle—this thesis aims to make the process more reliable, scalable, and automated.

Throughout his PhD, Javier made significant contributions to the field by publishing several research papers and openly sharing the tools and resources developed to support his findings, including frameworks, software components, benchmarks, and datasets.

The examination committee was composed of Katja Hose, Verónika Peralta, and Anna Queralt.
